Paranormal Snacktivity

After I saw Paranormal Activity 2, I was indeed freaked out. Like many others, I wondered if my house had some sort of Demon in it and if maybe might great great grandma made a deal with a demon to give away the first third born male in the family.

I decided the only way to know was to actually film myself as I fell asleep in my desk chair. The footage was quite frightening.. here are some of the important sequences in picture form, look closely:

FALL BREAK!

Hey everyone - it's the end of fall break. Sad, I know.

This fall break was pretty eventful for me - I was able to go the land of the black lagoon, AKA Lagoon, with some good ol' frenz o' mine. It was a blast. I even dared to go on a roller coaster BACKWARDS - here's some footage:



After Lagoon, I didn't think my weekend could get any better, but then I checked my email and realized I had won a trip to Bahamas - to the all inclusive Sandles resort! Here's a great pic - it was seriously so much, too bad I was only able to spend about a day there.. (and with traveling time, it was more like 2 1/2 hours..) It was worth it though














and then finally.. just when I thought it couldn't get any better... it totally did. Phone Call:

Friend - "Hey Jordz, Wanna go to the moon with me?"

Me - "Will I be back before Sunday night?"

Friend - "Yeah."

Me - "Then of course! meet you there?"

Friend - "Tip Top Cheerio! See ya there friend!"

Heroes

Ok this is a blog where I'm going to be completely serious, I know a lot of the time I may come off a LITTLE sarcastic and completely hilarious... but this video really changed my life. Mr. Rogers saved PBS by quoting a song from his show in front of the U.S. Senate - How cool is that? Seriously watch this.



I came across this in my Mass Communication class where we have a liberal teacher and a lot of conservative students - Class usually ends up being an argument about whether Glenn Beck is evil or not (which for that, I have a great video to show for another time) But the teacher showed this at the very end of class and the class ended with an applause and seriously was one of the most spiritual, uplifting things I have ever been a part of. The left and right wings can meet together for this one.

Another one of my current Heroes is Mark Zuckerberg - if you haven't seen "The Social Network" yet, you NEED to.

"POST" #2 - MUZACK!

What's another thing that makes UV great? MUSIC.

This past Tuesday (October 5, 2010) - I was able to go with two of my great friends (Derek Carter & Krystal Carter) To the X96 Half Ass Show featuring: Civil Twilight, Crash Kings, and of course - ANBERLIN.



The show was pretty tizight, got some majorly cool pics. Here's a couple - you can check more out on my facebook page.





Anyway, all of this concert going made me homesick for the days when I had my own band.. here's the music video for our widely successful song - "I miss you"



Music also leads to dancing. I was privileged to play "Just Dance" with the spencer family this past evening - I must say I really do think I can dance. Next Time, I'll be sure to post some pics.. for right now, I only have post dance pics.

Just in my moment of great despair... an angel came into my life.

This is Anna. She was the bright beam of light in my dark tunnel of Internet anonymity. Anna is a bloggess, herself. You can check her out at HERE. - Anyway, she said I should dabble in this, so this is my shot at it.

I want this blog to be about things that make Utah Valley great and also some of the untold stories in the underground abyss of UV and it's surroundings.

Pick-up basketball games

Jordan Carl Martin Makin defeats Isaac Joseph Charles Makin, 21-18

This game was not only for brotherly pride, there was much more on the line: A Car. You see, I don't really know how to drive a stick shift car (GASP)... So I needed to challenge my little brother for his automatic car that he had claimed during my 2 year stint in Texas.

I was trailing 18-17... with the smetlering sun cascading down upon me... the towel was about to be thrown in..

Suddenly... my reputation flashed before my eyes. "Jordan Carl Martin Makin does not lose to his little brother in basketball!"

4 unanswered points and a victory proceeded that.

Isn't Utah Valley great?
